Spring is a great time of the year! Are you read to move your clocks ahead? Yes, we lose an hour of sleep but gain so much more! The snow melts, tree's bloom, tulips pop up, we actually stop and talk to neighbors we've only waved to for several months. Here's a few things to remember this time of the year:
- Sunday March 10th - Move your clocks ahead one hour
- Change the batteries in your smoke detectors
- Change the filters in your furnace
- March 17th - Celebrate St. Patrick's Day (which is also my birthday) - March 18th - recover from St. Patrick's Day;)
- For those who cover their windows with plastic, remove it and let the fresh air in!
- Plan or attend Easter dinner - get those hams ordered!
What other plans do you have this spring? Do you do as so many others do or intend to do a massive "spring cleaning"? Is so, what do you do? Windows? Closets? Do you have helpful hints as to where to begin? I've always started with my kitchen cub board's - organizing, wiping them down. I then have every intention of moving to other rooms but well, rarely happens. This year I will begin my spring cleaning with the front closet and the mud room closet. That way if that's all that does get done they'll be done at least because really, who sees my cub boards but me? Does it really matter that not all the lids to the Tupperware bowls are near the right bowl? Or in there at all? Not really. I think I'd rather have clean, organized closets so when people come over they'll think "wow, she's so organized!". Yes well stop there people because that's where the organization begins and ends:)
